If you’ve visited Bucksport Veterinary Hospital, there’s a good chance you’ve already met Isla—our beloved office cat and full-time clinic fixture.
Isla joined our team about 10 years ago after coming to us from a local shelter… and she never left. Literally. She lives right here at the hospital and has no interest in going home with anyone. The clinic is her home, complete with her very own kitty condo in the back.
Despite what you might expect, Isla doesn’t chase mice (odd, right?). She’s much more interested in supervising the front desk, occasionally stretching out on the printer, and making her rounds throughout the hospital. You might spot her in reception one minute and calmly wandering the back of the clinic the next.
She’s known for confidently visiting both dogs and cats—and no, loud barking doesn’t faze her. In fact, we’re not sure we’ve ever seen Isla run.
Oh, and one important fun fact: Isla has a weakness for blueberry donut holes. She once stole them straight out of the box, and her legend was sealed.
