Dr. Laura Smith
Dr. Laura Smith earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Virginia Tech and has been caring for animals for over 20 years. Before joining Bucksport Veterinary Hospital, she worked in general practice and spent a decade as a professor at the University of Maine Augusta, where she shared her passion for veterinary medicine with the next generation of veterinary professionals.
She has lived in Maine for the past 20+ years, Dr. Smith has deep roots in the community. When she's not at the clinic, you'll find her at home with her husband, two children, and their beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Gryffin. She's also known around the office as the team's resident tea enthusiast!
Dr. Smith is dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive care to all her patients and building lasting relationships with the families who trust her with their pets' health.
