Dr. David Monnier
Dr. David Monnier brings over 20 years of veterinary experience to our team, with a deep passion for both medicine and surgery. Originally from Redding, Connecticut, Dr. Monnier completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Maine before earning his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Georgia. He most recently served as a veterinarian at Brewer Veterinary Hospital, where he built a reputation for compassionate, high-quality care.
Dr. Monnier's clinical interests include veterinary surgery and internal medicine, and his extensive experience allows him to approach complex cases with both skill and confidence. Whether performing a routine procedure or navigating a challenging diagnosis, he is committed to providing the best possible outcomes for his patients and their families.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Monnier is a devoted husband and father of four. At home, he shares his life with his Chesapeake Bay Retriever — a fitting companion for a man who loves the outdoors. When he's not seeing patients, you'll likely find him whitewater kayaking, skiing, fishing, or tending to his garden. One animal he has always found interesting is peacocks, admiring the way the males sport such impressively large and colorful feathers that they can barely move.
